file system issues with non-english characters

On my machine, Nicotine saves all completed files to a mounted Samba volume. Unfortunately it won't accept characters with accents or other strange characters; once the download is done, it gives me a "file system error" and won't move the file to the Samba drive. Could you add the option to force a certain charset for files (maybe substitute the nearest equivalent English character)?
