Nicotine freezes when a search produces too many results

Description
I'm using nicotine 1.2.9 in kubuntu 9.04(64bit) and nicotine frequently locks up when I get lots of results back from a search. Mostly if I try to run more than one search at a time but sometime with just a single search as well

1.2.9 is a very old version, this problem as been addressed quite a while ago. I suggest you upgrade to 1.2.12 (Ubuntu DEB on the front page).
And generally if you get so many search results you're not searching correctly: The SLSK protocol unfortunately has to open a socket for every person with some results. Try searching for more specific things.
