Notification logs

I think it would be pretty nice to have a log for global notifications in a seperated logfile, like notifications.log:

11:57:00 User testuser is offline
11:57:02 User testuser2 is online
11:57:08 User testuser2 went away
11:58:32 User searchmaster is searching for musicartist, returning 12 results

Also could it be possible to seperate those returning results from the debug infos to an extra checkbox for example?
